Our tequila origin story: Tentempie

The development of the brand is rooted in the partners’ passion and knowledge of Tequila. With over 20 years of closely witnessing the growth of the tequila industry and being well-versed in the manufacturing processes of this national beverage, they made the decision to embark on the “TEN TEM PIE” tequila project.

We, Importadora y Exportadora MAVE, S.A. de C.V., are the owners of the TEN TEM PIE tequila brand.

After conducting various tastings and evaluating tequila profiles in the distilleries of the Valles region, we found the qualities and quality of tequila we were seeking for our brand.

On October 2, 2021, we entered into a partnership agreement with a Tequila company.

In January 2023, we officially announced our brand as available for sale.

Mision

Produce 100% agave Tequila, capturing the distinctive profile offered by the mature agave plants from the Tequila, Jalisco region. Utilize mature agaves, emphasizing in our distillation the notes of well-cooked mature agave, citrus, and herbal elements.
Promote the culture and unique language of our region and our country.
Forge strong and lasting bonds with our customers, suppliers, collaborators, and uphold respect for environmental conservation.
Provide Tequila enthusiasts an identity-driven experience distinguished by its quality, authenticity, and flavor.

Vision

To position our brand among consumers who appreciate a 100% agave Tequila with a high alcohol content; those who relish every sip, as well as those who enjoy a blended Tequila. At 43º alcohol content, our Tequila is perfect for sipping neat or mixed.
Spread the ordinary language of Mexicans worldwide, the simplicity, the pleasure felt when we think of a snack, or when we share one at work, at home, or on vacation.

Our brand

The expression or word “TENTEMPIE” is used in Mexico to refer to a snack; it is a common term and is more frequently used in the region of the Altos de Jalisco. However, it is normal to hear this term throughout the country.

The word “TENTEMPIE” is also used to describe a small portion of food consumed between meals, and it is used to refer to small amounts of snack-type foods, nibbles, etc.

In general, we can say that a “TENTEMPIE” is a snack, a food item to satisfy hunger.
In our company, we aim to preserve the language or words that have made history, that identify us, and that are part of our language.
